Event - Project Safe Women

Suraksha is one of the Fundamental objectives of JIWO and on this regard JITO Ladies Wing, Kolkata took the initiative of organizing a training program on “Project Safe Women” for all the JITO Ladies wing members. The daily life of a women is filled with various challenging situations from the undesired social elements of the society who may potential threat on their lives everyday either at the road or at their homes. Therefore, this program was evident as a wakeup call for all women & girls.
There were multiple programs on “Project Safe Women” which was held on 20th & 21st February at multiple locations like some colleges, schools & apartments. A 2-hour self-safety training program was demonstrated under which the key highlights such as understanding weak sensitive points of a male and stop them from achieving any undesired motive, how to be physically & mentally strong during sensitive situations as well as what actions needs to be taken after the harmful situation is diffused. Renowned trainers Guruma & Rekhaji with years of experience in Physical, Mental, Spiritual & Psychological training of diverse age group audience from all over the country had done an impeccable job of showcasing various techniques to all the participating women & girls. Over 1500 attendees attended the events which makes it a monumental success.
Special credits go to Sunita Mehta for organizing an event of such Magnitude. The members were the driving force behind this successful event and they vowed to host more of such events in the future to up-skill more women to defend successfully against the menace that exist in society.
Event - Cancer Treatment & Cancer Prevention Camp

Cancer is one of the most hazardous and deadly disease that is known to the mankind. On World Cancer Day, JITO Ladies Wing, Kolkata members vowed to fight and support the prevention of cancer in our society by organizing multiple campaigns on cancer treatment & cancer prevention.
The first event was held on 3rd Feb at Thakur Pukur Cancer Hospital, where the members visited the hospital and donated Rs 21,000 for the welfare of the patients. On 4th and 5th Feb the members distributed 1000 tea glasses to different street vendors as well as to different fruits & Vegetable sellers at 5 different locations market. JITO Youth Wing also assisted with great enthusiasm. The members inculcate the vendors about the dangers from drinking hot tea from plastic cups and helped them understand about the health hazards that comes with it.
The campaign was extremely successful. The members helped the vendors to get rid of the hazardous plastic cups and presented them a new reusable glass. The executive members of JITO Ladies Wing, Kolkata gave their full support and time behind this noble cause.
All the members pledge to hold more of such events in the future to help our society from the menace of cancer.
